- Workhorse Avenger TL - WAVTL (34 units) Single Ply Guard, non locking tuners
The
Avenger TL entered the line
up in 2001, with the first being a Lava Swirl with Trem, sn 02555. The
review in Vintage Guitar Magazine in 2003, states that the
AVTL has "three pickups, with a traditional five-way switch, and offers
a fat
tone similar to a 1960s Strat, but with more bite and a different
character - a bit more aggressive, with more tonal range than I
expected. Very usable tones! The bridge position, as promised, yielded
a brilliant and cutting sound just like a Tele should, and there was -
I repeat - no feedback. None."

The Avenger GT was also a
founding member of the Reverend Guitar line
up and the first production model was sn 00005, Foam Blue with a maple
neck. The last AVGT came out of the factory in 2004, but it must have
been a special order as most of the GT production had ended by Sept
2003. The last GT, sn 03640, was in the faux wood Flamed Maple, with maple fretboard and
a Hipshot Trem.
